Back in the Saddle?
I’ve been working on my digital art tonight (of course listening to Placebo’s “Once More With Feeling,” my Art Music) and I feel like I may be back. For a while, stress, depression and the like have made me get away from art. I don’t like that.
I’ve started writing again, and I think working all night on a couple different art projects is a good sign, as well. Here’s a quick piece I did of my friend Judith:
Clearly this is not a ground-breaking work, but I’m back making Art that I like. That’s all that matters.
no new video
I really wanted to make a new video, but if you remember, my video camera got washed. Yes, in the washing machine. I thought about taking lots of pictures of me, recording an audio track, and making a stop-motion video… but who has that amount of time?
Oh…….. I do.
But I can’t find my digital camera and my MacBook’s iSight doesn’t work. My artistic desires are destroyed by lack of technology. Guess I’ll go crochet some more.
Big day for me and the GIMP
I completely forgot to post when my Retro Tutorial for GIMP reached 2500 views on DeviantArt.com. Anyway, that day passed, and as of right now I have 2,670 views on that post. I know, you’re thinking, “Wow, that’s not that many views for the internet.” You’re right. In truth, if the internet were Hollywood, Kathy Griffin wouldn’t even know my name. But hey, Retro Tutorial is MY most viewed/downloaded/commented upon posting on DeviantArt.com, so I can’t complain. Just like Kathy, I’ll take what I can get… but with much less cussing.
New (same)
I’m in exam week at UNCG and although I don’t have tons of free time, I still am trying to keep dabbling a bit with art. It helps me stay sane. Plus, my therapist told me to. What that means is, a lot of my stuff right now is very simple. The piece I made for Emily’s birthday, for example, was done in like 15 minutes but I could have made it a LOT more detailed.
This piece I just did for Kat (her birthday is Friday) took me about 10… and that’s because I skipped a step and had to go back and change something.
Two Pieces of Art in One Day?! Yep.
Here’s a piece I did of Molly. This made her eyes stand out even more than usual.
